Southampton FC have released a 1993–95 Pony Blackout Retro Shirt, reworking one of the club’s early Premier League-era designs into a monochrome edition.
The release references the shirts worn between 1993 and 1995, a period associated with the club’s transition into the modern era of English football.
The new Southampton jersey is presented in an all-black colourway, incorporating tonal graphic detailing across the front that reflects the geometric patterning of the original design. The fabric features a subtle jacquard-style finish, with the pattern sublimated into the material.
A ribbed overlapping V-neck collar in black maintains a period-correct construction, while short sleeves follow a standard silhouette.
Branding is executed in blackout form, with the Pony logo positioned on the right chest and the Southampton crest applied on the left in a matching tonal finish, aligning with the overall blackout concept. Stitching and panel construction remain minimal, consistent with mid-1990s shirt manufacturing.
