Sunderland Association Football Club (AFC), of England’s EFL Championship, and Hummel have recently announced a new partnership and they have released a “special edition launch capsule” to celebrate the news.
Included in this is a retro version of the 1993-94-season Third shirt, with the yellow-and-black original from the now-Danish brand’s previous spell as supplier being something of a “grail” for Black Cats supporters.
The contemporaneous crest appears in full colour, with sponsor-of-the-time Vaux’s wordmark present and correct too, while an approximation of the Hummel jacket - with added Sunderland crest - the side wore for their Wembley walk out in the ultimately disappointing 1992 FA Cup Final has also been made available.
