Bolton Wanderers FC has announced in-play betting specialist 188BET as their new shirt sponsor for the next two seasons.

The 188BET logo will feature prominently on the new adult home and away shirts and on the Club's official team training wear and leisurewear for the next two seasons.

The new look kits, which will continue to be manufactured by Reebok, will be unveiled on Thursday 14 May and will be worn for the first time at the final home game of the season against Hull City on Saturday 16 May.

Bolton Wanderers Chairman, Phil Gartside, said: "This is a fantastic and lucrative deal for the Club, and represents the beginning of an exciting partnership with 188BET. We are looking forward to developing it further in the future, and working alongside 188BET on a number of major initiatives for the Club and the fans."

Andy Scott, CEO of 188BET, added: "We are delighted to be partnering with an ambitious club like Bolton Wanderers, which offers the ideal starting point to develop the 188BET brand across the European market over the next two years. With an established position in the world's greatest football league, Bolton has consistently proven itself as a driving force in top flight football, while also having a track record of looking after its partners."

The deal with 188BET replaces the 20-year shirt sponsorship association with Reebok, which is the longest serving main club sponsorship agreement in British football.

Allan Duckworth, Chief Executive of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, said: "Reebok has been, and will continue to be, a fantastic supporter of Bolton Wanderers for many years to come. Their partnership with the Club is ongoing and they will continue as official kit supplier and official stadium naming rights partner well into the next decade."

The Club, in full agreement with 188BET, has decided that the sponsor logo will not appear on the youth, children's and infant shirts sold by the Club. Furthermore, it will not appear on the shirts worn by the Academy teams that represent Bolton Wanderers. Both the Club and the sponsor hold their position in the community very dearly and are aligned in the fact that children are not directly exposed to advertising from the betting and gaming element of 188BET's business.

I really don\'t understand why every club and their mothers are going for online betting websites as their sponsors. I understand it\'s all about the money, but lets face it, it looks rubbish (especially as Wigan have the same sponsor), no-one will want to buy the merchandise (Bolton has had Reebok as their sponsor for decades) and to sound like an old woman, it\'s encoraging gambling amongst everyone who watches the team.

Ah well, forget what I said. After all being in the Premiership is all about money money money. Let\'s not give a crap, eh?
