Corinthians and Batavo signed a new sponsor agreement. The company will stamp its logo on the shirt of the team through this 08/09 season. The new shirts sponsor was made public by Ronaldo, Dentinho and André Santos. The contract is the largest sponsorship of a Brazilian club in history.
Director of marketing for alvinegro, Luis Paulo Rosenberg, celebrated the investment. "I can not express the happiness of marketing, even with this adverse world scene in which we reached this agreement," explained the manager.

Similarly, Andrés Sanches noted that the terms are historical. "I am very grateful to Batavo by recognizing that the Corinthians have their value and establish the largest contract in the history of Brazilian soccer," said the chairman.
Jose Antonio do Prado Fay, president of Perdigão, owner of Batavo, said: "Ronaldo was of great importance for the agreement, but surely the weight of the Corinthians is much greater," said Fay.
