Emirates Renews Paris Saint-Germain Sponsor Deal

Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines and 2012/2013 Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain have announced a new sponsorship deal, granting the airline a five-year extension to their partnership with the Club until the end of the 2018/2019 season.

The announcement was revealed by Thierry Antinori, Emirates Executive Vice President Passenger Sales Worldwide and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint Germain, during a press conference held in Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris.

This agreement strengthens the relationship between Paris Saint-Germain and Emirates and gives to each partner the opportunity to achieve worldwide brand recognition, simultaneously enhancing the image of each partner through increased global awareness,” said Mr Al-Khelaïfi.

“This is the perfect time for Emirates to re-sign with Paris Saint-Germain given the club’s new international players and on-going success in the French championship, as Ligue 1 Champions, as well as the European championship. Our sponsorship of Paris Saint Germain is a strong platform to further extend our brand presence in France, as well as the many other football focused nations that we fly to globally,” said Mr Antinori.

As a result of the partnership, Emirates will continue to enjoy highly visible branding in Parc des Princes stadium, Paris Saint-Germain’s stadium, as well as the Fly Emirates logo on the team shirt and access to the stadium’s premier hospitality facilities.

Personally I am getting bored of these Arabic nation advertisements on European shirts. The people there hate us all so much, so why would we want to promote anything commercial to do with such a part of the world. Promote European companies, they are the ones in recession, the ones struggling - if you need the money that bad PSG, ask Sepp, he is loaded. Apparently. No camels were hurt during the writing of this text.

PSG is owned by Qatar money, not Dubai. If it were Qatar Airways, that would be a different question and the deal would rightly be scrutinised like the Citeh/Etihad relationship was, but it's not so no need to IMO.

Not a fan of sponsors on shirts but this is one of the classier ones (e.g. compared to Wonga or Cash Converters)

i have never been to keen on the idea of a big red cross on the england shirt (or on any shirt for that matter) and i don't think i will ever change. i know that this is a fantasy design so anything can go. its just not my cup of tea sorry.
