ASR Netherlands will take over the current Feyenoord shirt sponsorship contract from Fortis for the new 2009-2010 season. This sponsorship will be used to promote the new name, ASR Verzekeringen (ASR Insurance), which has been introduced to replace Fortis ASR.
The name Fortis will totally disappear at Feyenoord and everything related to Fortis will be replaced by ASR Insurance. The ASR Insurance sponsored shirts will be available before the new season. On boarding at the Feyenoord Stadium the new name will be shown at the next home game on March 15 against PSV.

Feyenoord general manager Eric Gudde is glad it is now clear what name will be on the shirts next season: "Under what name the sponsorship would be completed, was unclear because of the developments surrounding Fortis.
