The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has officially signed a new kit deal with British football kit manufacturer maker Umbro.
The deal will run for four years and is worth US$4 million (almost Ja$503 million). This figure could increase depending on the JFF's marketing of the gear and team performance.
The contract was signed by JFF president Michael Ricketts in Panama last night with vice-president Bruce Gaynor and general secretary Dalton Wint in attendance, as well as Alberto Bassan, director of Flex Pro, Umbro's distributor in that country.

"I must express my delight," Ricketts said. "This is a world renown name and the JFF is delighted to be partnering with Umbro. I am very positive that this will be a mutually beneficial partnership - Umbro is a famous name in football around the world and we are looking forward to revealing the new kits to our fans. We are looking for positive things from our national teams and this will be an excellent start."
Bassan described the deal as a "dream come true after many many months of negotiation."
"We have been in tremendous negotiations and we are able to reach a most generous and important deal," he said. "Umbro, a British brand, in essence, will be able to bear its name on the JFF kit and it's a real honour for us. We are rooting for the best of the Jamaica Football Federation and for the Jamaican people and we will see, God willing, these beautiful Umbro uniforms in the FIFA World Cup 2022. It's gonna be a start that is gonna bring a lot of good news and good moments for Umbro and for the JFF. "
The JFF said that the new jerseys will be officially unveiled next year.
