Motherwell sign Bukta kit deal 2007/2008

The first pictures of the new strips for 2007/08 can be seen EXCLUSIVELY in 91 magazine published on Saturday 12th May.In the late 70’s when the likes of Joe Wark, Willie Pettigrew and Bobby Graham were strutting their stuff on the hallowed turf at Fir Park, the training and playing kit was manufactured by Bukta.

Motherwell Kit Manager, Alan McDonald even has an original Bukta training shirt worn by Joe Wark hanging proudly in his office to this day. In those days Motherwell F.C. were among many of the UK’s top teams to wear Bukta clothing. Bukta kit was also worn by West Ham, Newcastle and Ajax with a team that included Johan Cruyff.

Since then, Motherwell have had kit supplied by a variety of manufacturers such as Admiral, Pony and most recently, XARA., with things now having gone full circle as Bukta make a return to Fir Park.

The company have recently made a return to the football kit market and were keen to re-establish their links with Motherwell Football Club.

When the kit contract came up for renewal the Club had enquiries from many manufacturers who expressed an interest in becoming the official kit supplier but it was Bukta who really impressed.
