Rochdale AFC announced that it has signed a deal with JD Sports who become our Kit Supplier and Technical Sponsor. This agreement sees the Club benefit by gaining more control over the style and supply of kit whilst working with a dynamic, locally based business which has indicated its desire to work closely with us as we deliver the goals of our seven year plan to reach the Championship.

The deal, which will see Rochdale wear kit developed under JD's exclusive youth fashion brand, Carbrini Sportswear, will run for three seasons. The agreement also covers training apparel and will carry the JD logo on the shorts and back of shirts under an additional agreement as sponsors of these areas.

Many aspects were considered over the move away from Just Sports Pro Club who have supplied our kit in recent seasons, including the need to find a new shirt sponsor from next season. By moving to Carbrini and having a direct relationship with the manufacturer, we have the ability to design and influence our kit requirements and have a playing kit unique to Rochdale AFC. The first evidence of this will be seen in the coming weeks when we launch our new away kit for next season which was the direct result of a brief given by the Club to Carbrini and with considerable input from our own management team.

Another key aspect of the deal is JD's support of our football ambitions with a number of valuable incentives based on our success on the park. This incentive demonstrates Carbrini's commitment to the progress of the Club and is a feature we have not enjoyed in previous agreements. We will also be using the expertise of Carbrini's parent company JD Sports to enhance our retailing experience.

Rochdale AFC, Sales and Marketing Manager Iain Johnstone commenting on the deal said " I have been working with JD Sports for several months now and find their range of products and services offer real benefits to the Club at every level. Their willingness to work with us and support us as we develop the new kit gives me every confidence that we are working with a business who truly views us a partner ".

Barry Bown, Chief Executive of JD Sports, added:"We are very pleased to be sponsoring Rochdale AFC. The deal is a significant step in developing the JD Sports and Carbrini Sportswear brands and we look forward to working with the club to make the partnership a success."

The Club is delighted to announce its new shirt sponsorship deal with freebets who have penned an initial one year deal with Rochdale AFC.

They will become shirt sponsors for the First, reserves and youth sides on both home and away kits. Their logo will also feature on all replica kit with the exception of child sizes.

The search for a new shirt sponsor has been difficult in the current economic climate and it is testament to the standing of the Club that we have managed to secure a new sponsor when many other clubs are still looking to secure contracts. Freebets.co.uk are based in Cardiff and this is further evidence of how far we have been spreading the Rochdale message and increasing our profile across the UK.

Commenting on securing the deal Sales and Marketing Manager Iain Johnstone said " I have spent the last six months trying to find the right sponsor for the Club I believe that the sponsorship with freebets.co.uk is he type of business with a national presence we should be working with. My initial contact with Leon Hughes, MD of Freebets.co.uk, was to establish a presence at the stadium but this soon grew to him agreeing to become our shirt sponsor for next season".

Leon adds 'We are delighted to become sponsors of Rochdale AFC and feel that it's a fantastic opportunity for us to continue the phenomenal growth of our freebets.co.uk brand'

'We wish Rochdale AFC and their fans the very best of luck for the upcoming season and am confident they can they can push for promotion once again'

Looks pretty nice to me, even though not a real photo of the kit.

I love this style of shirt, just dont think it suits the USA. You could do a retro one for the USA based on the kit from 1950, but another FSC denizen called unclesam has done that (and very well too. I think that it would work for a santos shirt (kit supplied by Umbro) and Colo Colo (same kit supplier).

Like the shirt style, but I dont think it suits the USA, to be honest, because it is so understated.

Far too boring for my liking, could at least have made the collar or Nike logo a different colour to liven it up a bit.

I can imagine what the England kit would look like with a US logo in my head.

looks class, but color wouldn't hurt it. i see where the england top drew inspiration, but maybe a slightly different take? maybe add some color to give it flair. right now its too similar to the england shirt. still good though.
