Just for once wouldn't you like to see some refreshing honesty. After all we all know exactly how these deals really work.

Club: 'We had around 15 offers and we have accepted the most lucrative one, because ultimately we aren't fussed what is on the front of the shirt and it's all about raising revenue for the club to give us the best chance of success.

Sponsor: 'We couldn't really care less which Premier League team we sponsor, as we cannot afford one of the top ones. But any of the mid-table or below sides provide us with great value for money in helping to promote our brand and the deal will likely pay for itself, so it's win-win'.

As clubs and sponsors share visions! They just share a goal of wanting to make as much money as possible, the club through the payment and the sponsor through exposure. Why bother will all this Shakespearean nonsense!
