The jersey draws inspiration from the pivotal event on December 16, 1773, when American colonists protested against "taxation without representation" by throwing 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor. This act of rebellion, known as the Boston Tea Party, marked a significant moment of resistance against British control.

The 2024 kit of the Revs commemorates this defiant moment in the history of their region, embodying the spirit of the colonists' declaration that it was time to confront British rule.
