Reading FC have revealed their new Third kit for the 2023-24 season, drawing inspiration from the iconic Purple Turtle venue in the heart of Reading, which holds a special place in the club's history.

The home strip features silhouettes of local landmarks, while the away kit proudly displays the image of the Maiwand Lion. In contrast, the third kit pays homage to the Purple Turtle, a venue with close ties to the club's past. In 1871, Reading FC was established in a meeting room on 10 Gun Street, right next to the Purple Turtle, making it an integral part of the club's lore.

Not only does the third shirt boast a unique design, but it also incorporates Eco-Fabric, sourced entirely from recycled plastic bottles. This move aligns with the 'Macron 4 The Planet' campaign, a commitment to introducing eco-sustainable products to the market.
