The Ajax away shirt from the 1993–94 season was produced by Umbro and worn as the team secured the Eredivisie title under Louis van Gaal. Despite the departure of Dennis Bergkamp to Inter Milan, Ajax finished the campaign with 86 goals scored and the league’s strongest defensive record, ending the season ahead of Feyenoord by a clear margin.
The shirt features alternating navy and teal stripes with subtle tonal detailing and fine black and yelllow pinstripes. A navy lace-up collar sits above a yellow insert, while the Ajax circular crest and Umbro logo are positioned in gold on the chest. The vertical ABN AMRO sponsor runs down the right-hand side of the front.
This design is associated with one of Ajax’s most successful eras, during which players such as the de Boer brothers, Litmanen, Seedorf, Overmars, Davids, and Blind established themselves in Dutch football history.
