Argentina 1991 player shirt by Adidas believed to have been prepared for a #17 and given as a gift following a friendly match against USA played in Palo Alto, Stanford on the 19th May 1991.
Argentina wore their navy blue away kit in the match which was their first ever on US soil. The 1990 World Cup Finalists were without Maradona and Caniggia but managed to grind out a 1-0 victory against the hosts thanks to a 33rd minute Dario Franco effort.
It was the first time the sides had ever played each other in a friendly having last faced off in the 1975 Copa do Mexico. This superb design home shirt was worn between 91-92 but seen with different styles of Adidas logo and to varying material specifications throughout this time. After playing the Italia 90 Final Argentina's next match was not until February '91 when this new design was first seen.
