Ajax’s 1995/96 home shirt was worn during a season of continued success under Louis van Gaal. The team came close to retaining their UEFA Champions League title, losing to Juventus in the final on penalties, but secured multiple trophies elsewhere.
Ajax won the Eredivisie, the Dutch Super Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, confirming their dominance in mid-1990s European football.
The shirt features Ajax’s classic white base with a central red panel and vertical ABN AMRO sponsor branding. It includes an embroidered Umbro logo and the club crest with the outline of Ajax the Greek hero. The red-and-white striped collar and sleeve trim complete the design used by the Godenzonen during one of their most successful eras.
