Aston Villa’s home shirt for the 1990 to 1992 seasons was produced by Umbro.
The claret jersey carries a geometric jacquard pattern through the body, paired with sky blue sleeves that include a claret chevron detail. The club crest is embroidered on the chest opposite the Umbro logo, with Mita Copiers presented across the front as sponsor.
During this period Villa appointed Jozef Vengloš, becoming the first top flight English club to hire a manager from outside Britain or Ireland. The shirt was worn in successive campaigns, including a 17th place finish in the First Division.
