The Birmingham City home shirt from the 1996–97 campaign was produced by Pony and featured Auto Windscreens as the front sponsor.
That season, the Blues secured a 10th-place finish in Division One under player-manager Trevor Francis.
The shirt design includes a blue body with black side panels and sleeves. It is finished with a white collar that has black trim. The club crest is embroidered on the chest, positioned opposite the Pony logo.
