Up for auction: Squad Signed Match Worn/Issue Premier League Uwe Rosler Manchester City Player Shirt 1994/1995
The seller added the following: For sale is a match worn player issue shirt of Manchester City legend Uwe Rosler. The shirt is from the 1994/1995 season (this can be dated from the signatures) and was worn/issued for a Premier League game. I do not know whether the shirt was actually worn in a match. The shirt displays all the differences of a player shirt compared to a replica/fan shirt from the time. The main differences being:
- Official Premier League embroidered badges machine stitched onto the shirt (pre-Chris Kay felt Prem league badges).

- Felt Name and Number with Umbro inserts, replica name and numbers did not have these and were slightly smaller.
- Fully embroidered club crest, replica’s were sewn on.
- Smaller shield around the club badge than replicas.
- Long sleeves, as far as I’m aware replica’s were unavailable in long sleeves.
The shirt is also signed by most of the squad from the 1994/95 season. Signatures include Uwe Rosler, Niall Quinn, Paul Walsh, Peter Beagrie, Keith Curle, Ian Brightwell, Michel Vonk + more.
The shirt itself is in overall great condition. One significance of the shirt is that one of the Prem league badges has been stitched on slightly wonky so if anyone can find a picture of Uwe wearing a shirt with one ‘sloping’ badge then I’d be very interested to see it!
The shirt is a very rare piece of Manchester City memorabilia and is only likely to increase in value. A very reluctant sale. A great chance to own an authentic signed shirt that once belonged to a true City legend and cult hero at the height of his powers!
