Up for auction : Rare Dundee FC 1988 Home Football Shirt Matchworn
The seller added the following : Rare opportunity to own an original 1988 Dundee FC Home Shirt. The shirt is number 5 and was given to me by Dee's legend Bobby Glennie during the same season. As you can see it's the homeshirt by manufacturer Matchwinner. Unlike replica's all of the logo and badge detailing is embroidered rather than printed. The "Novaphone" sponsor is still 100% intact but the shirts nearly 20 years old and has some cracking.
The number is stitched onto the back of the shirt. Its a size 38-40 and really stretchy as these were worn quite tight in the 80's, probably a size large but please check the shirts measurements to be sure. The shirts been stored correctly for almost 20 years and, printed sponsor aside, is in virtually mint condition. No bobbling, pulls streches etc. The elastic in the collar and sleeves feels brand new. The shirts colours are still vivid with no fading.
The condition of this shirt would make it ideal for framing or wearing either ways it a rare chance to own a slice of Dundee FC history.
I am also including a free 1988 Dundee Xmas card. This card is a collectors item and is totally unique, it was only available through the club, not for sale to the public.
