CONDITION - OVERALL SHIRT IS IN A GOOD WORN CONDITION....JUST THE ODD SMALL SURFACE CLICK/NICK, ALTHOUGH NOTHING REALLY SIGNIFICANT. THE WHITE IS A SLIGHTLY OFF WHITE OR MILKY WHITE. THERE IS A VERY FAINT MAK TO THE LOWER BACK - SEE CLOSE UP PHOTO BELOW - TO THE RIGHT OF THE 5 PENCE COIN...IT'S HARDLY VISIBLE AND NOTHING MUCH AT ALL. ON THE INSIDE OF THE BACK HEM THERE ARE TWO INITIALS - SEE CLOSE UP PHOTO BELOW.

LENGTH OF SHIRT MEASURED ON BACK FROM BOTTOM OF NECKLINE/COLLAR TO BOTTOM OF HEM APPROX 30 INCHES. PLEASE USE ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS TO JUDGE SIZE SUITABILITY.

Barcelona Meyba Player Shirt Victor 80s Maradona Era
Extremely rare shirt for the collector: worn by Victor in the early 80s when Maradona was at Barça. Acquired from a Spanish collector who knew the kit man of the time - collectors will recognize the use of initials by the kit man on the inside bottom hem: A J N. I don't know about the system they used so I'd be interested to know if any one has that knowledge... It's a match issue size G (grande) worn by the stocky, silky-skilled yet combative midfielder - you can see that the Meyba label has been cut out as is the case with player's shirts. Not sure what games he wore it in (they used to use shirts more than once in those days), but I've been told it's from the 83-84 season so was worn by Victor when he lined up alongside El Pibe de Oro - so likely to have been involved in some Maradona magic at the Nou Camp and elsewhere...Victor is now a highly respected manager and tipped to be a future boss of an International team and one of Europe's elite clubs: so maybe a future managerial legend of Spain, Barça or a Serie A and Premiership team: so this shirt will only gain in value by its historic association with Victor, the man who wore it and with Diego, arguably the greatest player of them all
