Up for auction : SOUTHAMPTON ULTRA-RARE 1986 PATRICK AWAY SHIRT no.9
The seller added the following : Extremely rare Southampton shirt from the mid 80`s, this is possibly the hardest to find of all Saints shirts which were commercially made available to supporters. This original Patrick shirt has immaculate Draper Tools logo across the front in felt and 2 perfect Patrick logos on the sleeves. It also has a felt Patrick number 9 on the reverse which is also in excellent condition.
The number 9 shirt of this era was worn by amongst others, Steve Moran, Joe Jordan and Colin Clarke. Being a 20 year-old shirt there are a couple of marks and nicks evident but overall it is in good though not mint condition. Unusually for this type of shirt it is an ADULT LARGE although as any pics of the era will show you they wore them a lot tighter back then! Measurements are approx 40-42" chest and from top of collar to base of shirt is approx 30". Any offers,questions please ask.
