Up for auction : Match Worn Tottenham Spurs Shirt 1984 Steve Perryman
The seller added the following : OK. Welcome to my amazing auction. Those who know me ( and there are a few) know what a mad Spurs fan and collector I am. I have been a collector now for 12 Years. I have collected some amazing shirts over the years however this has to be my favourite. Its is one of Steve Perryman's match worn shirts from 1984 .
Now, last year there was another one of his shirt that sold on Ebay. This was different as this had the Le Coq Logo and Cockeral on the front of the shirt with a smaller HOLSTEN embroidered , no le coq logo on the sleeves and no logo on the number 6 and was a 1983 shirt. This one has the Le Coq Sportif logos embroidered on the sleeves( Like the older 1980/81 and 82 shirts), The cockeral is in the middle and it has a much larger HOLSTEN logo fully embroidered.
It also has the very very rare Le Coq Sportif number 6 with the logo on the bottom the number which has been sewn into the shirt(Some of the earlier versions in the 80's had 3D numbers on the older shirts). I have included a picture from a programme so that you can see the shirts we wore( Even though Paul Miller and Mark Falco are in the picture). The players wore and wore these shirts during this era. The shirt even has the hallmark Perryman arch in the back of shirt from when he wore it . This is the home white striped shirt which will be remembered for ever. The shirt is also very long ; chest is 40inch. So why am I selling? Well I need the funds to help me pay for a new computer for my family and as I have girls not boys so I do not have anyone to pass it on too. I aquired this shirt from a guy who used to play for junior Spurs in the 80's as got presented it after winning young player of the year. He had to retire later on due to injury and subsequently sold it to me.
Now, this shirt is NOT for the feint hearted. It is a die hard Spurs collector's dream and I would like it to go to someone special who will look after it. Maybe you can get it signed by Steve and framed. I am selling this with a very heavy heart however needs must. I will send this special recorded secure delivery and will be included in the price. I will NOT be selling this outside the UK. This is Tottenham Hotspur history and want it to stay in the country.
