The Manchester United 1988–90 home shirt, produced by adidas, remains one of the club’s most recognisable designs from the late 1980s.
It was worn during a significant period in the club’s history, including the dramatic 1990 FA Cup Final and its replay against Crystal Palace, where United lifted the trophy under Sir Alex Ferguson, his first major honour as manager.
The shirt features a bright red base with tonal vertical stripes incorporating a subtle “MUFC” pattern throughout the fabric. It includes the classic white V-neck collar with black trim, white shoulder stripes, and the Sharp sponsor across the chest. The club crest and adidas Trefoil logo complete the look associated with United’s late 80s era.
