The Portsmouth home shirt by Asics was used across two seasons between 1995 and 1997, a period that brought both challenges and progress.
In the 1995–96 campaign, the club narrowly avoided relegation from the First Division on goal difference, with Millwall going down instead. The following season saw improvements, with Terry Venables taking over as chairman and Pompey reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals, defeating Leeds United on the way. In the league, they secured a seventh-place finish, just three points outside the play-offs.
The shirt is blue with tonal vertical stripes, a white fold-over collar, and embroidered club crest. The Asics logo is placed opposite the crest, and The News appears as the main sponsor across the front.
