This Sampdoria home shirt was produced by Asics for the 1996-97 Serie A season. The team, managed by Sven Goran Eriksson, secured a 6th place finish in the league.
The shirt displays the traditional blue base with the horizontal bands in white, red and black across the chest. The historic club crest sits at the centre of the stripe, with the Asics logo and the Baciccia sailor emblem placed on the upper chest.
