This Sweden home shirt from adidas was worn between 1988 and 1991, a period that included the nation’s return to the FIFA World Cup after more than a decade.
Sweden topped their qualification group for the 1990 tournament ahead of England, securing a place at their first finals in 12 years. However, their campaign in Italy ended at the group stage following defeats to Brazil, Scotland and Costa Rica.
The shirt features a yellow base with an all-over diagonal pattern typical of late-1980s adidas design. It includes blue trim on the collar and sleeves, with the classic adidas Trefoil logo and the Swedish Football Association crest (S.F.F.) embroidered on the chest.
