As worn by Luc Millecamps in a 1980 European Championship qualifier against Scotland, this adidas Belgium Away shirt is a wonderful football design relic from 1979.
The strikingly large team crest is complemented with the German supplier’s shoulder-and-sleeve striping in the colours of the Belgian national flag - a structural panel of the shirt rather than mere decoration - and, of course, the right breast carries the iconic “Trefoil” emblem.
The reverse of the article is adorned with an of-its-time number 3, with another Trefoil the icing on a very satisfying cake.
