This shirt, believed to have been issued to non-appearing Everton utility player Alan Harper, was prepared for the all-Merseyside 1986 FA Cup Final and has recently sold at auction for £2,400.
Carrying a 13 on the reverse, the Le Coq Sportif blue-and-white “yoke” or “bib” design has the chest logos embroidered with special match embroidery too.
The design features a lovely jacquard pattern and evokes the famous match in which the Toffees were defeated 3-1 to enable Liverpool to pick up their first, and to date only, domestic Double.
This item was sold by Graham Budd Auctions, a specialist in sporting memorabilia.
