This Real Madrid shirt from the early 1990s boasts the relatively understated charms of Hummel shirts of that era.
It’s a larger period most notably bookended by two much louder shirts worn by Denmark - in 1986 and 1992 - but this Los Blancos release is undeniably classy, with Hummel’s recognisable branding complementing the design on the chest, sleeves and neck.
Of course, giants of Spanish football Real Madrid couldn’t hope to have their initials feature as a monogram on the neck - that kind of honour is reserved for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, who wore a near identical shirt to this one - but the combination of white jacquard base, purple embellishment and beautifully embroidered patch crest makes this shirt a classic.
