Notts County FC announced that it has signed an agreement with Nike to be the Club's kit supplier after ending their deal with Vandanel last week.

Medoc, the Nottingham-based technology solutions company has also been confirmed as the home shirt sponsor. Medoc sponsored the Notts County FC Centre of Excellence last year, and was shirt sponsor to the Club between 2006 and 2008.

The new Notts County FC 09/10 strip was worn for the first time by the team in their season opener against Bradford City at Meadow Lane yesterday.

Nike are boring though, I haven\'t seen anything exiting made by them in over 4 years. It\'s a shame when you see smaller kit makers making more of an effort in they\'re designs especially when you consider the difference in resources. I think we can take for granted that these shirts were going to be teamwear, we\'re talking about the fourth tier of football here and it\'s more financially viable to concentrate on the more \'premium football teams\' Man U, Arsenal. It\'s just a shame that due to what was mainly snob appeal Notts County like Chelsea have paid off they\'re shirt manufacturer just for some generic shirts.

All you ¨****ing purists, when you have a chance to show your skills in the fantasy kit design you all draw the same templates you criticize so much, you even take elements form adidas and nike, and put them on the same kit.

Stop saying nike is boring, the only boring thing here is to read the same comments over and over again...
Being a Rochdale fan this template means alot to me (Centenary year shirt, got to Wembley wearing it).

However I think it\'s ridiculous that the a week before the new season Vandanel had the manufactoring and sponsorship of the Notts County shirt terminated because Notts feel there not a bigger enough company for there team.

What a ****ing joke, they played excellent yesterday against a very good Bradford, but who wouldnt play well when they\'ve signed a ****ing murdering ****er who is a decent Championship player. Notts County are too small for Vandanel this is a team that finished 19th at the very bottom of the football league, and if it wasnt for point deduction\'s would of finished just 6 points from becoming a non league team.

Absolute ****ing joke. There\'s no fair playing field in football. Not at any level.
lol at the anger

Got to say that, as a County fan, I was rather disappointed with this, especially as Vandanel had been working on a far more unique kit design and had agreed to become the shirt sponsor into the bargain. The quality of last season\'s kit and bench wear wasn\'t bad at all in comparison to some of the crap we\'ve had in more recent years. How much did it cost our new owners to pay them off so we could wear the old Grimsby kit with a crap new badge?
There was also a great deal of talk about a big name sponsor coming in, but in the end the club reverted back to a local company who were shirt sponsors for the two seasons prior to 08/09.
Having said all that, at least Notts are in traditional black and white stripes and that Medoc stepped up to the plate again to support the only league team in Nottingham :0) And after that five nil mauling of Bradford yesterday who really cares what they play in so long as there will be more performances like that?!
By the way, there is a great deal of speculation that the away kit will be purple. The last time we introduced a purple away shirt we were in the top division in the year prior to the Premier League being formed.

Another Nike template. Just cause they got Sven as director if football, they feel the need to change for a bigger company.
