Torquay United unveiled the new home kit made by Vandanel for the 2009/10 season.  The new 09/10 design was modelled by United skipper Chris Hargreaves and United's longest serving player Lee Mansell.

The kit will be on display in the Club Shop ahead of the Chesterfield match tomorrow and supporters will be able to pre-order their shirts.

Sparkworld's Tristan Cook was looking forward to seeing United in the new strip on Saturday and watching the Gulls in action back in League 2.

'Saturday is a big day for the club and we are very pleased to be part of that with our sponsorship of the club. I'm sure the players are confident after last season and if they can start well who knows where we may end up. We made the decision to get back involved with the club early on last year and it is fantastic to see the club back in the Football League.'

Excellent. Clean and simple, the only way it could be improved would be if it had the old badge on it from 1973 (with "Football Club" on the bottom).

This kit would sell by the bucket load - even with AIG on it - if Nike brought this design out. Sadly they continue to turn out crappy kits like they always have done...
