Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC Reveal 2026 “The Meléndez Kit”

Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC 2026 Hummel Meléndez KIT

Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC have unveiled their 2026 “Meléndez Kit”, continuing the clubs’ annual artist collaboration series with a design created by Seattle-based illustrator Victor Meléndez and produced by hummel.

Kit Design & Inspiration

The new Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC jersey is presented in a bright yellow base, combined with tonal off-white sleeves and matching sleeve cuffs.

The front is dominated by a large central graphic featuring a stylised skull motif, constructed from floral and ornamental elements associated with Día de los Muertos, integrated with botanical references linked to the Pacific Northwest. The artwork is applied across the full front panel, extending into the lower section of the shirt.

Black hummel branding appears on the right chest, with a lenticular dual crest positioned on the left. The primary shirt sponsor WOMBI is placed centrally above the main graphic in bold black lettering. On the sleeve, a monochrome Pagliacci Pizza patch is applied, while hummel chevrons are positioned along the shoulders.

The reverse of the shirt features a mirrored floral pattern in a more subdued tonal execution, with UW Medicine branding placed across the upper back. The shirt uses a lightweight polyester construction typical of hummel North America
releases, with a smooth surface and integrated ventilation zones.

Lenticular Dual Crest

A lenticular dual crest is incorporated into the design, allowing both Ballard FC and Salmon Bay FC identities to be represented on a single shirt, used by both men’s and women’s teams. The 2026 edition also introduces an anaglyph graphic effect, with each shirt supplied alongside custom 3D glasses designed by the artist.
