Wellington Phoenix have revealed their first-ever Third kit for the 25/26 A-Leagues season, created by Dynasty Sport. The new secondary Away strip stays true to the club’s colours, combining a black base with vivid yellow details.
The new shirt features a diagonal yellow sash extending from the left shoulder, paired with yellow sleeve cuffs and trim around the back of the collar. The club crest, A-Leagues badge, and sponsor logos, including OPPO for the men’s team and Entelar Group for the women’s, are also presented in yellow. The kit is completed with black shorts and matching socks.
The design features the tohu (symbol) gifted to the club by local iwi Te Āti Awa, a Māori tribe with strong ancestral ties to the Wellington region, placed on the lower right of the shirt beneath the sash. At the centre of the chest, Te Raukura (a plume of white feathers) represents harmony and unity. The tohu includes Māori cultural elements symbolising Wellington’s heritage and landscape, such as Ngake and Whātaitai (the guardian spirits of Wellington Harbour), the koru (the unfurling new leaf of the ponga fern), ngaru (waves for connection to the sea), mangōpare (a hammerhead shark motif for strength and determination), and Taranaki Maunga (Mount Taranaki), a sacred landmark for local Māori.
Both the men’s and women’s versions of the shirt are made using Dynasty’s Ecotek fabric, produced from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles, continuing the club’s commitment to sustainability.
