Valencia 08/09 Home and Away Nike football kits

Why is the emblem of the club and the city a bat? There are several explanations. Legend says that on October 9, 1238, when Jaume I was about to enter the city of Valencia after it was reconquered from the Moors, a bat was posed on its flag.

Since then it was added to the coat of arms as a symbol of good luck.

For the 2008-09 season the new Nike kits of Valencia CF are inspired both by the bat as by the futuristic aspect of the City of Sciences and Arts. It will be the last season in the Mestalla stadium, but be assured that the bat will continue protecting them with the best of luck.

Haha, at Che Que Bo, I\'m from Valencia and I wouldn\'t have expected that. They usually have nice kites, and this carries on good tradition. Hopefully Barca will get some help with Nike too.

you guys must be blind, there\'s nothing special on the kit, it looks like a simple round neck shirt with the club\'s badge and sponsor on it.....jeezzz.... :-?

I have always liked it when Valencia have had red&yellow striped shirts as their away kit with royal blue trimmings. Not too different from last year to be honest-different sp*n*er white neck but well that is about it.Allright but nothing special-then again poor ole valencia are suffering at the moment aren\'t they?

Good kit,simply and modern.

I like the sponsor,it gives a good idea of the city of Valencia,
a very active city.
I like the badge layout with the bat\'s wings that encompass the rest of the badge.Is it new layout,or it already was like this last year?

And 2° LIGA 43/44??? who cares in 2008/09?! 65° anniversary??

One of the best away kits - keeping with the club\'s traditions yet still refreshing and not stale. Home kit is pretty good, considering there\'s not much you can do with white without either being accused of too boring or tinkering too much!

This is simply stellar stuff. I\'m not even a Valencia fan. I might buy this simply to wear something as classy as this shirt. I like the Home/Away equally.

Why couldn\'t the Nike team who did this kit work on my Gunners kit!! :sad: :cry: We look like crap compared to this...
