South Africa Announce Adidas Kit Deal

The South African Football Association (SAFA) will end its five-year partnership with Le Coq Sportif in December 2025, with adidas set to take over as the official technical sponsor for all national teams from March 2026 under a new three-year agreement.

The collaboration marks adidas’ return to South African football, reconnecting with the spirit of unity that defined the nation’s hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Fifteen years on, the partnership signals a new chapter of ambition and pride for South African football on the global stage.

With Bafana Bafana qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Banyana Banyana continuing to make progress in international women’s football, SAFA and adidas aim to highlight a new era of national achievement. The alliance will carry the global brand’s message “You Got This,” reflecting confidence and belief in the next generation of South African players.

The new adidas range will debut on 24 March 2026, providing kits, training wear, travel attire, and fan merchandise for all South African teams.

This return also marks the strengthening of our standing among the global football nations community as we compete at FIFA and CAF tournaments regularly and being supported by a brand that invests in innovation, performance and style to meet the needs of a modern sports organisation like us.” – Ms Lydia Monyepao, Chief Executive Officer, SAFA

Sam Handy, VP of Product and Design, adidas Football - “Football has the power to change lives whilst uniting and inspiring. adidas has a proud and rich football heritage, pioneering products for the best teams and athletes around the world.
